Chicagoland's LGBTQ+ Country/Western Dance Community

Tell Me More

About Us

Second City Country Dance Association (SCCDA) provides country/western social dancing and teaches all skill levels from beginning to advanced in the LGBTQ+ community.

We strive to create inclusive relationships, network, and collaborate with other dance communities. Charlie’s Chicago is our primary dance venue and together we build, strengthen and support the Chicagoland LGBTQ+ country/western dance community. SCCDA hosts organized dances, events, workshops and co-hosts the annual Hoedown In The Dunes.

We offer both two-step and line dance lessons during Country Fridays and Sunday Fundays now held EVERY week! Check out the calendar below for dates & times.

Intermediate Two-Step Lessons<

Two-Step Lessons

Learn the basic two-step from our amazing instructors. Dancers with some experience can learn more complex turns and patterns. It’s fun, easy and we can get you dancing regardless of your skill level. You don’t even need a partner – we’ll provide one for you!
We welcome everyone 21 or older. You'll find a friendly and diverse crowd of men, women, trans, young, old, gay, and straight friends of the LGBTQ+ community.

Lessons are: FREE

Line Dance Lessons

We offer two line dance lessons every Friday and Sunday. One for beginners and one for more experienced dancers.
Check our line dance library to review any classes you might have missed or request a line dance you always wanted to learn. There are step sheets and demo videos for almost everything Charlie's Chicago has taught over the past several years. You can search by dance name, song title, or artist.

Lessons are: FREE!
