Garrett Dean Imhoff has been dancing in some form his whole life, but first became aware of country dancing during his college years in Grand Rapids, MI when they accidentally walked into a room full of dancing queer cowpokes at a Grand River Renegades event and fell in love with the style. Going on two decades later, they’re still fully hooked and dancing their keister off. They moved to Chicago in 2017 and quickly became an instructor, social media coordinator for both SCCDA and Hoedown In The Dunes, and a board member for the Second City Country Dance Association (SCCDA). They are a former president and are currently coordinating membership – a program they championed during their presidency. Some of their favorite dances include Ex’s and Oh’s, Showstopper, Fly, Shivers, and SXE.
